Wednesday Update: The Hallowe'en Bunny

Easter was busy times.

Since there was an actual young child visiting (my niece Taylor), the Easter Bunny stopped off on the weekend to deliver some eggs and Peeps (you know, those marshmallow chicks). Poor Peeps. Nothing ever turns out well for them. They are always being smushed and smashed and pulled apart and stepped on and ground into the dirt, then left there to melt in the April sun.

The whole Easter hunt thing reminded me of Easter hunts gone by, and I found myself fondly recalling the greatest thing the Easter Bunny ever left me as a kid. No, it wasn't a chocolate anything, or even an unblemished Peep. It was a giant-sized colouring book: 'Spider-Man meets Werewolf-By-Night.'

Just what did he think he was he doing, leaving kids werewolf-themed colouring books?! Crazy bunny. It's almost like the Hallowe'en Bunny was filling in that year. No complaints, of course. It was a GREAT colouring book.

And you'd think I'd be able to find a reference to that colouring book on the Internet today. Because one of the Internet's main jobs is to make sure that the mysterious and magical ephemera of our childhoods is available anytime we'd like to revisit it, thereby, of course, crushing any said mystery and magic like a hapless Peep on Easter morning.

But nope - googling reveals nothing. Thank goodness.

So, if you happen to come across an image of that obscure colouring book online, please DON'T tell me about it. I don't want to hear a thing. Not a peep.
